Holding back

Filed under: General Knitting, Yarn — by Heather @ 2:35 pm

Over the summer I made quite a few purchases of souvenir yarn.

Like this lovely yarn:

Malabrigo

And this:

DIC Classy

The top is the famous Malabrigo in Rojo Intenso.  It definitely is as soft as it’s reputation has made it out to be.  I have two skeins of it and I think I’ll use it for the My So-Called Scarf

The bottom is my favorite worsted weight yarn, Dream in Color Classy.  It’s the November Muse colorway, with beautiful shades of brown.  My picture has purple and blue tones, which is way off from reality.  I bought the Dream in Color Shrug pattern for this yarn.

I’ve been good and haven’t started either project.  I finished the first half of the stole and I’m ready to start on the second half.  I actually did more repeats than the pattern called for, so I may do less repeats on the second half.  The baby sweater still needs buttons, but I did buy them today, so there’s hope for that.  And, I haven’t done a thing on Josh’s Cobblestone sweater.

  1. Good luck with the second half of the stole. Love the color of your Malabrigo too.
